PREMISE

Resanas srl is an innovative start-up company established in June 2022. The object of its activities is the research, development and engineering of innovative processes for the sanitisation of materials.

Resanas srl aims at the study, research, experimentation, development and application of AKILLE, a controlled, non-injurious chemical process installed inside an innovative machine. By means of a controlled chemical process in a totally protected environment, AKILLE, which is in the patenting stage, guarantees the total sanitisation of the products treated and present in the consumer goods distribution chain without producing any visual or qualitative variations in the treated material. AKILLE has been researched and developed in order to prevent pandemic spreads in densely populated environments, as expressed in the directives of the Ministry of Health in 2008 and subsequent 2021 and lastly implemented by the European Community.

In connection with the implementation of the National and European Directive on measures to contain the contagion of VIRUSes and their Pathogens through sanitisation procedures of consumer goods, the question arose as to what …

Pandemic Spreads: Viruses and Pathogens

During the year 2022, RESANAS developed a universal sanitisation process called “AKILLE”. By means of a mixture of gases under controlled conditions within an airtight reaction chamber, the process enables microbiological sanitisation from pathogens and SARS-CoVid 19 on a diverse range of materials used today in the production and marketing of a wide variety of consumer products (excluding foodstuffs for the time being).

AKILLE: Process & KnowHow

The main objective of ‘AKILLE’ is the experimentation and development of a controlled chemical process, subjecting material of different nature to a cycle of treatments through the production and dosage of a gas mix. In the first phase of research, AKILLE focused on the treatment of a significant variety of garments of different nature (by composition of fibres used) including animal, vegetable, synthetic, artificial (and their blends). The second phase analysed the effects of AKILLE on Calfskin and Stainless Steel used in the Footwear, Bags and Accessories sector, in addition to Paper, Plastic, Lycra and Kevlar.

AKILLE is a sanitising process that can be developed for an infinite variety of uses because …

AKILLE - Machine & Innovation

AKILLE represents an absolute innovation of total sanitisation performed in an automatic, protected and complete manner on a multitude of consumer goods starting from clothing, footwear and accessories in their most varied forms and materials used.

Unlike the best-known Virus and Pathogen sanitisation systems in use today, let us see what the most important differences and counter-indications are that these systems have over AKILLE in terms of …

About Us

It's been 30 years since Matteo and Giorgio first met at university.

/ Matteo TT
Graduated from Turin Polytechnic

in Textile Technology at Città Studi in Biella, after more than 20 years dedicated to Private Banking, Corporate Finance and Merger & Acquisition, he returned to his father's origins, a textile engineer. Since childhood, Matteo has always had a great passion for Mechanics and Electronics, applied and integrated in the AKILLE process.

/ Prof. Giorgio Rovero
Giorgio is a lecturer at the Polytechnic University of Turin

where he began his career in 1976 as an assistant lecturer. After moving up to university researcher, he won the competition for Associate Professor in 1986. His international experience began at UBC in Vancouver - Canada as a Research Associate and Visiting Professor (1979 - 1982). His professorship in Chemical Plants was joined by teaching assignments in Process Control and Textile Technology at Città Studi in Biella from 1988, as Course Director in Textile Engineering (1988 - 1998). In Europe, he was a representative for AUTEX in the School of Textile Engineering and taught for over twelve years in the European E-Team master's programme.
