Research & Development

Between 2021 and 2023, Resanas designed and developed AKille, an high-tech dry sanitization system that can be used on all materials currently used in the production of consumer goods such as clothing, footwear, accessories, packaging, etc.

AKille is patented by the UIBM (Italian Patent and Trademark Office) and has also obtained a preliminary international patent from the PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) called “Optimized Sanitization Method and System”.

CONTAMINATION RISKS

Viruses and bacteria spread mainly through the air, and once deposited on surfaces, they can remain active for days, weeks or months. Recent studies show that transmission also occurs through contact with contaminated surfaces.

Fathizadeh et al. (2020) demonstrated that SARS-CoV-2 can persist from a few hours to several days, depending on the surface (link to article):
• Copper 4 hours
• Latex 8 hours
• Steel 2-3 days
• Plastic 4-9 days
• Paper 1-5 days

Riddel et al. (2020) found the presence of the virus (SARS-CoV-2) on non-porous surfaces (banknotes, stainless steel, glass, plastic resins, etc.) for up to 28 days. (link to article)

Chin et al. (2020) isolated SARS-CoV-2 on surgical masks for up to 7 days. (link to article)
